Server Maintenance Policy

The server maintenance and modification program is an important part of SolidSpace's strategy to provide customers with excellent and dependable service while controlling costs. To minimize any interruption of service, details such as client side updates and database synchronization are carefully planned before server modifications are implemented.

With the exception of standard server maintenance, all server modifications are processed through the SolidSpace Research and Development business unit and require management approval.

To minimize impact on the customer, server maintenance events are completed within a scheduled window after normal business hours. Details regarding the server maintenance window are listed below:

Type of Server Maintenance Window Customer Notification
Shared Server 8am to 10am, EST each Saturday
At least 48 hours before scheduled maintenance, all customers on a shared server will be notified through the SolidSpace website. Clients may also use their Customer Center logon to view scheduled maintenance as it applies to their particular services. Under normal circumstances a shared server is scheduled for only one maintenance window per month.

Occasionally, emergency server maintenance may be required. Such emergency events are usually related to security issues, hardware or software component failures, viral attacks, or other circumstances that require immediate intervention. When such emergencies arise, SolidSpace utilizes a list server to broadcast an emergency service bulletin to the SolidSpace customer base. These events are rare, and SolidSpace vigilantly monitors the hosting environment in an ongoing effort to predict and prevent any such occurrences.
