I Want More Anti-Spam Protection

If you would like to control the spam filters for your domain, please ask your email administrator to add the following lines to the inbound rules as shown. This will be done from the IMail Web Admin, which is found by going to the URL: mail.yourdomainname.com. Once the administrator user is logged in, you will need to click the Web Admin link to the upper right corner of the window.

iMail Admin Login

On the left side of the window you will need to click on Inbound Rules.

Select inbound rules

To add a new rule, you will click on the Add button at the bottom of the Inbound Rules window.

Add a new iMail inbound rule

In this window you will create a new rule. You will see your Domain Name, followed by a field to name the rule. Once the name is created, you will click Add Condition.

Add condition for inbound rule

In this new window, define the condition. First, select the Where location by choosing From in the drop down window, then for Comparison select Contains. In the Search text box, you will type the email name which sends you the spam, example: joe@spammer.com. Now click Save.

Define condition for inbound rule

The last step is to decide where you want spam messages to go. For Action Type, select Move to mailbox from the drop down list, and then type Spam in the target text box to send any email from joe@spammer.com to the Spam folder, then click Save.

Another option would be to delete the email. To do this, select Delete as the Action Type, then click Save.
